ge A cross consists of two beams – one horizontal and one vertical. The horizontal beam is our part of the cross. It is the symbol we use for a MINUS and it represents our sin and failure. We were born in sin and cannot escape it. But a mighty miracle happened. Just outside of Jerusalem on a hill called Calvary, Jesus crossed through our minus from top to bottom – and turned it into a PLUS. That’s what the cross is – God’s plus-factor for us. This is the heart of the Gospel. God offers a total reversal of your present condition. Minus is turned to Plus, negative to positive, hate to love, captivity to freedom, fear to faith, darkness to light, sickness to health, death to life, hell to heaven and depression into the joy of the Lord.
