Living together is quite common in my country.. its legally accepted too. the partners are referred to as common law husband and wife. Unfortunately its not the type of life i would choose.

@maxd, it seems to work for some.. many couples usually live together before marriage.. and once they find that they comfortable and compatible then they marry. I don't know of any that have children.. but the ones i heard off do have kids and are leading a happy normal life. Many religions, including mine does not approve of this type of lifestyle.. but i suppose its each to their own..
